20” Laptop Computer Cabinet with Locking Storage

Our BayView 2842 is a great computer cabinet that even won a national design award a while back. We've continued to refine the cabinet. We have versions that are 4" deep for used for hallway computing as well as the original that was 7.5" deep, designed for use in the patient room. The deeper computer cabinets allow room to include an articulating arm, can hold more options for the actual CPU and can include an integrated medication box.

We've recently created a scaled down version of the 2842 for a facility who was using laptops and wanted an integrated medication box. We took the overall design of the 2842 and crossed it with our 2023 laptop unit. The result is our BV2035 pictured here. The unit has ample space for medications or supply storage plus can house many of the wider laptops.

Custom medication box with NetLock

We're just completing a great project that had our design team digging deep to offer a custom solution to a customer. The customer recognized the need to have enhanced security over medications and supplies within the wall mounted medication cabinet inside the patient room.

Our NetLock system offers complete audit trail and ease of use by allowing the caregiver to open the cabinet with the pass of a proximity card.

The inside of the cabinet was custom fitted to hold various supplies and also has medication shelve has adjustable height. On the bottom of the cabinet are bins used to store McKesson medication envelopes and loose medications.

Tis the Season for Wall Mounted Medication Cabinets

Well, this is the season for many more things than just medication boxes but we just completed a new website which features JUST our medication boxes.

Cygnus has been creating wall mounted metal and wood medication cabinets for over 20 years. Our new wood medications cabinets are equally as secure and functional as our metal cabinets.

Network Lock Keeps Full Audit Trail for Security

Cygnus now has a network-based lock solution as a security option for all of its wall mounted computer workstations. The networked lock will make it easier for the staff to access the cabinet with the simple swipe of a proximity card. The new lock will also make it easier to monitor access by creating a real-time audit trail for each cabinet.

One of the many great features of this lock system is the ease of administration. Users can be added and deleted, access restricted to certain floors, and much more all from a central location with the use of a simple software interface.

The lock is powered over the ethernet network (PoE) so there is no need for an additional power supply to be dropped by an electrician. Setup is simple due to the lock being a true IP device.
